Senior Software Engineer (US Eastern Time)
Ready to build the platform behind tomorrow's mobile brands? Join Valdyr as a Senior Software Engineer: own features across the Americas, work with Go, AWS and Kubernetes, and scale to hundreds of mil
Join us!
Valdyr is on a mission to simplify and digitize the telecom industry. Our platform powers next-generation mobile providers, from traditional MVNOs to eSIM challengers and non-telecom players looking to embed connectivity into their offerings. With our roots in Stockholm (Sweden) and our sights on a global scale, we're building the future of telecom—fast, flexible, and customer-first.
As we expand into the Americas, we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer based in Spain or LATAM, working US Eastern hours, to help us scale our platform from tens of thousands to hundreds of millions of users.
Your Mission
As Senior Software Engineer at Valdyr, you'll own platform feature development and support across the Americas, working independently and closely with our European team so nothing stalls between time zones. Our platform is scaling into new markets with dynamic requirements, so you'll shape, design, and build fundamental components of our Seamless OS. We'll shape the scope around your background, skills, and technical interests.
You'll work with a team of skilled engineers on a modern, cloud-native architecture: a Go backend running on AWS with Kubernetes, services communicating over gRPC, a React front end, GraphQL and REST APIs, and data in PostgreSQL with event sourcing.
What You Will Do
Own feature development and support for the platform across the Americas
Design and build fundamental components as we scale into new markets
Work closely with the European team to keep work moving across time zones
Drive projects forward and dig deep to solve problems rather than handing them off
Tackle complex technical challenges collaboratively and keep improving systems and processes
Use AI tools in your daily workflow for speed, quality, and better decisions, while applying strong engineering judgment
Plan and manage your own work, making decisions independently
Share knowledge and help lift the engineering practices of the team
What You Bring To The Table
5+ years as a backend or full-stack engineer in a modern technology environment
Strong Go and SQL skills; GraphQL, React, or TypeScript is a plus
Experience in a backend-focused full-stack role, comfortable working in React when needed
Experience across multiple domains
Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, microservices, and event sourcing
An AI-native way of working, with AI tools integrated into your daily workflow
A real ownership mindset, with high autonomy and a focus on delivering results
A startup mindset: you thrive in a small, high-autonomy, execution-focused team
Growth orientation: you own your development and share knowledge with others
Excellent communication and strong written and spoken English; Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese is a plus
Based in Spain or LATAM and available to work US Eastern hours

About Valdyr
We grew up running a telecom operator, so we know the complexity from the inside. Over a decade, we built it, workflow by workflow, turning fragmented operations into a single execution layer: Seamless OS.
Then our customers taught us the harder problem. Launching an operator is the easy part. Changing one that is already running is where the industry gets stuck.
Now AI is collapsing telecom software. What took quarters is generated in hours. The traditional stack is not being upgraded — it is being made obsolete. And becoming AI-native is not about adding another tool on top of that complexity. AI needs an operating layer it can understand, orchestrate and act through.
That is what we built.
We are not another vendor in the stack. We are the layer that replaces it — turning telecom operations into workflows that people and AI can execute, change and scale.
